With today being Shrove Tuesday, aka the best day of the year, pancake day, there’s no better time to try a new protein pancake recipe.
In this blog, we’ll share two of our favourite recipes which are guaranteed to result in flipping good pancakes!
PROTEIN-PACKED GLUTEN FREE PANCAKES
Ingredients:
- 1 scoop of V-GAIN Vanilla
- 170g oat flour or oats
- 170g of Greek yoghurt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- A pinch of cinnamon
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Pour the batter onto the skillet to make pancakes.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
HIGH-PROTEIN PANCAKE ROLLS
Ingredients:
- 20g plain flour
- 20g SCI-MX Vanilla Ultra-Whey Protein
- 1 eggwhite
- 3g baking powder
- 150ml almond/coconut milk
- Sweetener to taste
Filling:
- 200g Greek yoghurt
- 40g (less sugar) jam
- Berries of choice
Method:
1. Mix together all of the ingredients to make a silky-smooth batter.
2. Split the pancake mix into three and fry in a pan.
3. Mix your Greek yoghurt, jam and berries together before spreading it on all three pancakes.
4. Roll each pancake up and top it off with some extra berries.
